Step 1
Proceed cautiously if you go through an online organization to find a Christian military pen pal. Some websites offer the opportunity to sign up for a pen pal, but they require personal information on the application form you may not feel comfortable sharing (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Use Internet bulletin boards or forums to meet a Christian person that wants to correspond regularly (see Resources below). Many military personnel have computers and the ability to communicate with you, but keep in mind you can't be sure who the other person is or if the information they share with you is true.
-
Step 3
Contact a local military unit that has forces serving away from home. They may be able to hook you up with a pen pal or know someone that can find a Christian willing to write to you.
-
Step 4
Ask people you know at work, church, school or in your neighborhood if they know a Christian military person that would like a pen pal. This would be a relatively safe method of communicating with a stranger, but still be careful about personal information you share in your letters.

Step 5
Get in touch with a veterans' hospital or organization such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars or American Legion to assist your search for a Christian military pen pal (see Resources below).
