Websites are one big popularity contest--the more hits you have, the higher your ranking with search engines. This leads to more business, more traffic and improved Google page and Alexa rankings.

Make your website stand out from your competitors. Appeal to software called spiders which search the Internet for websites containing relevant content.

    • 2

Use SEO copy writing to elevate your site's ranking in Google and Alexa by including targeted keywords and keyword descriptions right in the body of the text.

    • 5

Elevate your site's relevant content to increase your PR rank within Google and other search engines. The increase in your (PR) in Google promotes your website in Google search listings.

    • 6

Practice an effective SEO link-building campaign to increase your Alexa Ranking. Contact other sites that are relevant to your content and request a link back to your site. Great article. Re: Step 6 - Be careful when you link to a website that is banned by Google. It will hurt your page rank. You can determine this going to the homepage of the website where your link appears and checking the google toolbar for website page rank. The page rank box which is usually white with the percentage represented in green will be grey.
