Everyone's scared of something. Some people are scared of public speaking, others of flying and others are scared of insects or rodents. But when fear controls your life and prevents you from taking vacations or advancing in your career, you've got a problem. Luckily, there are many ways to conquer a fear.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Try hypnosis. A hypnotherapist can hypnotize you to relax whenever you're in a situation that fear may try to control. Hypnosis can also rewire your subconscious, eliminating your fears. The roots of many fears are in our subconscious.
Step2
Consider energy psychology. Energy psychology is relatively new and is similar to acupressure. With energy psychology, experts stimulate various points on the body, changing thought patterns and eliminating fears.
Step3
Become immersed in your fear. If you're scared of flying, go out of your way to fly places. If you're scared of public speaking, start getting up in front of crowds. It may be that once you do public speaking or get onto a plane, you find your fear is baseless. And then the fear disappears.
Step4
Learn relaxation techniques. Try basic meditation or yoga breathing and visualization whenever you have a fear. This will help you control it so it doesn't rule your life and dictate your actions.
Step5
Go see a counselor. Perhaps your fear needs professional treatment to conquer. A counselor can help you deal with any issues in your past that are causing your fears.
