One minute you are in what you thought was a great relationship, and the next minute you are given your walking papers. Chances are, you are feeling very lonely, upset and sad. You wonder if you'll ever get over the heartache of being dumped. It may take some time, but eventually, you will get over it.

        Have a good cry. Sometimes, all you need is a good solid cry. Get on your favorite comfortable clothing, pull the covers over your head and let the tears fall. Getting everything out of your system and vowing that this is the last time you will cry over the person who dumped you will give you a goal to work for and also closure.

        Write a letter to your ex, but don't mail it. If you've been dumped, you probably were so shocked that you didn't get a chance to say everything you wanted to say. Writing a letter to your ex describing everything you are feeling and all of the things that you are angry about, and yes, maybe some name calling, can clear your mind and heart of all of the emotions. After you are done writing, rip up the letter.
