How to Change Yourself at School and Get Good Grades
Being a good student and getting good grades isn't easy for everyone. The work may be challenging or boring. No matter where you are in your schooling, it's possible to change yourself at school and start getting good grades. If you work hard in school, you can change your teacher's negative perception of you.

Go to class. It's important not to miss class lectures and assignments. If being absent is unavoidable than contact your teacher as soon as possible to get the information you missed.

Participate in class and be prepared. It shows that you are involved and motivated to change. Raise your hand to answer questions and ask questions when you are unclear about the information presented. Bring paper, homework assignment, writing utensils and anything else you need to each class.

Keep an organization system. Make sure the system you use has a calendar to write down when assignments are due and test dates. Have one notebook for each class.

Complete assignments and turn them in, even if you are struggling with the material. If you complete and hand in your work, your teacher will know that you tried.

Study everyday and have a place where you can work. Completing your work immediately after school is a good idea, also, having a study partner can help.

Get a tutor if you need to. Most schools provide after school tutoring by teachers or peers.

Ask for help. If you continue to struggle despite following these steps, it's time to ask your teacher, counselor or administrator for additional help. An evaluation for a possible learning disability is an option.
