How to Choose a Micro Bikini

When you want to have fun in the sun at the beach, you need the perfect swimwear. One type of revealing swimwear is the string bikini, also called the micro bikini. If you choose a micro bikini, there are a few things you need to look for to make the bikini just right for your body. Not all micro bikinis are alike.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check you body out and find any flaws that you may want to hide. It doesn't matter if your body is really perfect but if you envision flaws, you won't be comfortable. If you find some minor areas, look for a suit that covers those areas.

  2. Step 2

Select a color that complements you. Skin has different undertones. Those with olive skin have an undertone of green. If your skin is olive, don't get a green suit. Instead, find something pink or use any other flattering color.

  3. Step 3

Get a good fit. If the suit is too large, it swishes away at the first wave. If it's too small, rolls of flesh around the string look unattractive.

  4. Step 4

Select a bikini for the type of use. If you play beach volleyball, choose a micro bikini that's a workout bikini. These athletic bikinis hang in there even when you jump for the high ball.

  5. Step 5

Try the suit on and walk, move, squat and sit. Some of the micro-bikinis are not user friendly when movement is involved. Make sure your backside feels comfortable, particularly in a g-string style.

  6. Step 6

Fit the top to your bust size. If you just get a little triangle for the top, make sure that it gives you enough support. Those with large busts may want to get a micro bikini that offers a little more at the top.

  7. Step 7

Mix and match the top and bottom. Select each piece to fit your two halves.
