How to Make an Overnight Foot Mask

Many of us fight a constant battle with the discomfort of dry, sore and cracked feet. An overnight foot mask can sooth those sore feet, leaving them feeling soft and smooth. You can easily create your own overnight foot mask out of healthy, chemical-free ingredients.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/3 cup raw almonds, untoasted and unsalted
  • Blender or coffee grinder
  • 1/3 cup old fashioned oatmeal
  • Mixing bowl
  • 4 tbsp. cocoa butter, softened to room temperature
  • 3 tbsp. pure honey
  • 2 tsp.freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 pair of cotton socks

Step1
Put the raw almonds in a blender or coffee grinder and grind them to a fine powder. Set it aside.
Step2
Place the old fashioned oatmeal in the blender or coffee grinder and grind it to a fine powder.
Step3
Put the ground almonds and ground oatmeal in a mixing bowl with the softened cocoa butter, pure honey and freshly squeezed lemon juice, and stir until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Step4
Wash your feet with soap and water, dry them well, and apply the overnight foot mask. Massage it into your feet, especially on the roughest, driest areas.
Step5
Slip a pair of cotton socks onto your feet over the foot mask and leave them on overnight.
Step6
Stand in the bathtub and remove the cotton socks. Rinse the overnight foot mask from your feet with cool water. Pat your feet dry with a soft towel, and make sure they're thoroughly dry before putting your socks or shoes on.
