How to Make Apricot Lip Gloss

Your lips will be extra soft and kissable when you apply some of your own homemade apricot lip gloss. This lip gloss smells good enough to eat and it's completely natural and chemical free.

Things You'll Need

• 1 tbsp. white wax pellets
• Double boiler
• Oil from 1 vitamin E capsule
• 2 tbsp. apricot essential oil
• 1 tsp. calendula oil
• 1 tsp. pure vanilla
• 1/2 tsp. honey
• 3 drops orange essential oil
• Lip gloss pots or tubes

Instructions

1. Place the wax pellets in the top of a double boiler, and heat over low heat just until the wax melts.

2. Stir in the vitamin E oil, apricot essential oil, calendula essential oil, pure vanilla and honey.

3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly. Stir in the orange essential oil, and allow the mixture to cool completely.

4. Spoon the apricot lip gloss into tiny lip gloss pots or tubes.

5. Set the apricot lip gloss aside for 2 days to allow it to set.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also use the microwave to make your lip gloss. Melt the wax pellets in a microwaveable bowl and continue as directed in the Steps. Be sure to heat the beeswax only in 5 second intervals, and don't overheat it.

• Double or triple the recipe and make enough apricot lip gloss to give as stocking stuffers or party favors.
