Instructions

    • 1

Line two (12-cup) muffin tins with paper muffin cups. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

    • 2

Prepare the box of chocolate cupcake mix according to the directions, and stir the cookie crumbs into the batter. Fill the muffin cups about one-third with the batter, and bake the cupcakes for 25 minutes. Remove the muffins from the muffin tins, and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.

    • 3

Frost the cupcakes with the chocolate frosting, reserving a small amount.

    • 4

Create cat faces on the chocolate sandwich cookies. Use the reserved chocolate frosting as glue. Glue on two small candies, such as yellow M&Ms for the cats' eyes. Choose two triangular shapes, such as candy corns for the cats ears, and attach them with frosting. Use the icing to attach a tiny candy nose, and under that, some licorice string whiskers.

    • 5

Put a cat face cookie on each cupcake, turning it on edge and pressing the bottom edge of the cat face into the frosting.

    • 6

Allow the black cat cupcakes to set up for at least 20 minutes before serving.
