Instructions

    • 1

Unfold a bath towel, and lay it out flat. Fold one of the long edges of the towel toward the center. Fold the towel again toward the other long edge. Now fold it in half lengthwise so that your towel is now about four inches wide.

    • 2

Perform Step 1 for the other bath towel, the two hand towels and the two washcloths.

    • 3

Overlap two ends of the two bath towels. Pin the ends together with a safety pin. Your towels should now be four inches wide, but twice as long as before.

    • 4

Roll the bath towels into a tight coil as neatly as possible. Pin the loose end to the coil with a safety pin.

    • 5

Repeat Steps 3 and 4 using the hand towels and the washcloths.

    • 6

Position the hand-towel coil and the washcloth coil on top of the bath towel coil. The bath towels form the bottom tier of the wedding towel cake, the hand towels form the middle tier and the washcloths form the top tier. Wrap a length of coordinating satin, grosgrain or other ribbon around the middle of each tier. You can pin the ribbon, hot glue it or tie it in a bow.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use large diaper pins for this project.
