How to Make a Rosemary, Lemon and Honey Facial

If your skin is oily, pamper it with a rosemary, lemon and honey facial. Making a facial in your own kitchen is the next best thing to a high-priced spa facial and it may surprise you how wonderfully silky smooth your skin will feel.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 bag green tea
  • 1 bag chamomile tea
  • 2 mugs
  • 4 tbsp. dried rosemary
  • Blender, coffee grinder or mortal and pestle
  • Large mixing bowl
  • 2 tbsp. powdered oatmeal
  • 2 tbsp. aloe vera gel
  • 2 tbsp. pure honey
  • 8 drops lemon essential oil
  1. Step 1

    Brew the green tea and chamomile tea separately in two mugs, and set them aside to cool.

  2. Step 2

    Place the dried rosemary in a blender and grind it to a fine powder. You can also grind dried rosemary with a coffee grinder or a mortar and pestle.

  3. Step 3

    Place 2 tbsp. each of the cooled teas in a large mixing bowl and stir in the powdered oatmeal, aloe vera and honey. Mix well.

  4. Step 4

    Stir in the dried rosemary and the lemon essential oil, and stir the mixture thoroughly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Apply the rosemary, lemon and honey facial to your face and neck, using a clean makeup sponge or the pads of your fingertips. Allow the facial to remain on your face for about 20 minutes. Rinse the facial using warm water and a soft washcloth. Pat your skin dry with a soft towel and apply your favorite moisturizer.
  • If you don't have dried rosemary, you can substitute 10 drops of rosemary essential oil.
