Gambling comes in many forms. However, casino gambling is the most popular type of gambling. There is always the chance of winning big, but the chances are that you will lose. Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Watch out for the "fish" at your table. The fish is slang for the loser at the table. The term probably comes from the idea of an old fish smelling bad and nobody wanting to be near it. At a casino, many people are superstitious and may avoid someone they think will rub off their bad luck on you.

  2. Step 2

Look up and see the "eye in the sky." If you have ever thought about cheating at cards, there is a team of people at the casino watching to make sure you do not. The eye in the sky is the security camera system, concealed by black domes, that hangs above the heads of all players.

  3. Step 3

Choose your seat carefully at the blackjack table, as many people do not want to sit at "first base." This is the spot the dealer will give cards to first. While, statistically you do not have any worse odds than any other position, some players avoid this slot, considering it unlucky.

  4. Step 4

Consider yourself lucky if you get "hot." Being hot is the exact opposite of being a fish. If luck is on your side and no matter what you do, you can't seem to lose, you are hot. This is another gambler's superstition and comes from no other source than chance and luck.

  5. Step 5

Seek out slot machines you think will be "loose." It's a fact that casinos set their slots to pay out at different rates. Once in a while, there will be a loose machine, which means it pays out a great deal more than others.
