How to Have a Summer Fling

Summer is a beautiful time of year and also the best time to have a fling. Beach vacations, 4th of July and Memorial Day are just not the same without someone by your side.

1. Find the individual you want to have a fling with. A beach, night clubs and parties, are the best places to find a summer fling candidate.

2. Look for signs that they are already involved with someone. Wedding band, tan line where the band should be, or a girl hanging around them, should be indicators to find another target.

3. Make your move. Start a conversation with your target and ask him if he would like to accompany you to dinner or a movie.

4. Explain your intentions. Make sure the other person understands that you are not looking for anything long-term or serious. If your fling starts getting too mushy with you or telling you they love you, end it immediately.

5. Keep it fun. Enjoy your summer and your fling as much as possible. Concerts, picnics and walks on the beach, are great activities for you and your fling.

6. Avoid long phone calls, meeting parents, and meeting too many close friends. This means it is getting serious. Learn to text message; it's the easiest way to schedule a date.

7. End the fling when the summer ends. Part ways but try to keep in touch. If you both had a good time, there may be a chance to rekindle this fling the following summer.
