How to Solve a Labyrinth Logic Puzzle
Labyrinth logic puzzles are a variation of the popular hanjie logic puzzle. Th grid with number sets along the top and left side. There's also a "S" and a "E" located in the grid. The object of the puzzle is to create a series of hedges that create a maze for a line to twist through every box in the grid connecting the "S" to the "E."

1
Examine the grid. The number on the top and left side are associated with the grid line directly adjacent to the number sets. The number sets indicate how many "hedges" are contained on that line and the length of the hedge. So if a number set is 1:3:4, that means there are three hedges, the first spanning one block, the second spanning three blocks and the third hedge spanning four blocks. There will be at least one empty block between each hedge.

2
Count the number of blocks going across the grid and down the grid. Write down the total in each direction off to the side of the grid for reference. Add up the digits in each number set, adding in one extra space between each digit in the set to symbolize the minimum maze path and lightly write the total beside the number set.

3
Locate any number sets that contain a number of blocks the are over half the number of blocks in the entire line. Starting at the left side of the grid, lightly mark the hedges on the grid, starting the first hedge in the first block and space with one empty block between each digit in the number set. Repeat from the right side. Look at the results, anywhere that the hedges overlap will be where a hedge is actually located. Place a heavier permanent mark on the overlap areas and erase the other markings in that line. Continue for each number set throughout the entire puzzle.
-
4
Continue to fit each hedge segment into the grid, while referring to the number sets on each side. Hedge placement will become apparent as more and more hedges are permanently established.
-
5
Look over grid to made sure all hedges are in the correct places. Now it should be easy to draw a line through the maze to attach the "S" with the "E". The line will go through each box except for the boxes with an "S" and an "E" in them.

It is very helpful to use one color to mark the hedges and one color to mark the maze path.
