How to Treat Skin With the Fraxel Laser
Fraxel Laser treatment improves the appearance of skin by treating microscopic zones one at time in order to help skin heal comfortably. The lasers are effective in reducing wrinkles, eliminating age spots, improving skin texture, tone and pore size and improving the overall appearance of your face, neck, chest and hands.

1
Consult with your doctor to devise a treatment regimen that's right for you. Clinical studies recommend three to five sessions, with 2 to 4 weeks between each. While results can be seen immediately, improvements can continue for two to three months.
-
2
Prepare your skin for treatment. Thoroughly wash the area to be treated. Apply a topical anesthetic and allow one hour for it to take effect.
-
3
Direct the Fraxel laser at small sections at a time. The laser penetrates deep into the skin and works to remove pigmented skin cells. Your body immediately begins to create new, healthier and tighter skin cells to replace the old, pigmented ones.

4
Remove the anesthetic and wash your face with the Fraxel foaming cleanser. Follow up with the Antioxidant Infusion Serum and Deep Hydration mask for 15 minutes. Finally, apply the Fraxel Daily Moisturizer.

5
Expect to feel a mild sunburn for the hour following the procedure. Once the burn dissipates, a pinkish tint is normal for the next week. Any swelling typically goes away in 2 to 3 days. You may wear makeup and shave shortly after treatment.

While some people feel well enough to return to work after the procedure, others need more time and choose to take time off from work and activities.
