How to Do House Clearing

People do house clearings when they move into a new home or if they feel that their home is haunted. Some people believe it's important to rid the house of energy from previous owners. Life changes may encourage you to do additional house clearings such as after the death of a loved one, a divorce or an argument. It's important to maintain a clear mind to be successful in house clearing.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Sit in a quiet space at the center of your home and imagine that you're placing a light strip on the floor around the perimeter of your home. In your mind, extend the light strip back to the center of your home and pull it to the Earth's core.
2. Imagine a 2-foot brilliant sun that levitates above where you sit.
3. Expand the sun in your mind slowly until it fills your entire home so that it casts light in every corner.
4. Visualize that the sun grows a 6-foot thick violet ring around its edges to protect your home from bad energy.
5. Repeat to yourself five times "this violet ring will keep my home safe until I do another house clearing."
6. Walk around every room in your home with incense, sage or purified water to cleanse your space.

Tips & Warnings

• Ask a priest to sprinkle holy water and say a prayer in spaces of your home where you feel bad energy is present.
• Listen to your intuition or gut feeling in regards to your home. If you believe there is bad energy present, then there probably is.
