Smoking is a bad habit that millions of people from all walks of life engage in on a daily basis. There are also millions of people who do not smoke who have to deal with the smells and dangers of second hand smoke.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Express your feelings as a non-smoker to the smoker. Tell them that you do not smoke and that you do not like or appreciate people who smoke around you. Tell them that you think it is nasty habit and that you would prefer that they do not smoke around you.
Step2
Put your hand over your nose and mouth if you do not want to express your feelings to the smoker. This will help you breathe a little better and stop you from the horrible smell.
Step3
Move away. If the person smoking bothers you, then switch chairs, walk away or move to another part of the room.
Step4
Take your vitamins, especially vitamin C, if you are going to be around smokers. Smoking lowers your immune system and makes you more prone to illnesses. Therefore, you will need to make sure you are getting enough vitamins so that your immune system will not diminish due to the second hand smoke.
Step5
Call the smoking ban report line if you are in a public place where the smoking ban is in affect. If smoking is not permitted in public places and there are people smoking, then you can report the company or establishment to the authorities who enforce the smoking ban.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be polite when speaking with smoker. You do not want to offend them or start a fight.
