How to make Pita Bread

Making pita bread is easy and fun. It also makes any boring sandwich taste better!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 tablespoons of dry yeat
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  1. Step 1

    Get the warm water and dissolve the yeast in it.

  2. Step 2

    Mix togeather the salt, flour, then add in the mix of yeast and water above togeather.

  3. Step 3

    Make the mixture into a dough substance, then knead for a 6 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for 3 hours.

  5. Step 5

    Get the dough and seperate it into 6 equal portions and roll into balls. With either your hand or a rolling pin, pat andpress each ball of dough into 5 inch circles about 1/2 inch thick.

  6. Step 6

    Place on an ungreasd baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, or until the pita are light golden brown.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make your favorite sandwich by substiuting the pita bread, you will be in for a real treat!
