The Web Accessibility Toolbar (WAT) is available free from The Paciello Group, which also had a hand in helping develop the Surf Right Toolbar.

The WAT helps you identify components of a web page, provides access to alternate views of page content and facilitates the use of third party online applications (see links in Resources below). Installation instructions are available on the download page.

The Surf Right Toolbar uses options in Internet Explorer that are already available to do things such as improve contrast or enlarge text, and puts them in a toolbar as an easy-to-find button.

You can download the Windows .exe file to add the Surf Right Toolbar at the RNIB website (see Resources below). Start by reading the announcement at the site's blog. The blog article gives you information about how the Toolbar works, how to download and install it and where to find help if you have questions.

As of this writing, the Surf Right Toolbar is still in beta state, so watch for updates that may make it function better over time.
