Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- RCA cabels
- a pair of regular plyers
Step1
Step one if you haven't already purchased a converter box go to your local dept. store or electronics store and ask which one would be just right for you. While you are there you probably should pick up RCA cables also, you will probably need about 2-4 pairs depending on how many devices you are connecting. I suggest the GOLD tip they get better reception.
Step2
After you have purchased your correct box then you will need to unplug your Television and device in which you are connecting (safety first).
Step3
On your RCA cables you will have three tips that are color coded YELLOW is for your video feed and the RED and WHITE is for your stereo sound. next you will need to look at the back of the DVD or VCR and find the OUTPUT male ends on the device next connect the RCA cables once you have found them they will be color coded as well just connect the right colors where they go.
Step4
After that step is complete you will need to hook up the converter box. In the back of the converter box it is also color coded but this is where it gets a little tricky because now you have IN and OUT jacks on the back you will need to find the in jacks and plug in the RCA cables according to the correct color slots.
Step5
The next set of RCA cables will be used as an output to input into the television set. Simply find they output side jacks and plug in the RCA cables to the back of the converter box and plug into the TV set. If by some chance your television does not have RCA jacks in the back then you will need to purchase a COAX cable which looks like a standard cable line. this will be coming out of the back of the converter and into your television set. Plugg everything back into the outlet and turn on the power and set your television to the correct channel (3 OR 4) and enjoy.
