Chewy chocolate chip cookies with the healthy addition of oats! Enjoy this delicious recipe.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    INGREDIENTS:

    1 cup solid shortening
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
    2 large eggs
    2 Tablespoons milk
    1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    4 cups quick oats
    1 cup chocolate chips

  2. Step 2
     

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Blend shortening, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

  3. Step 3

    Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 13 to 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
