This article is for those persons who are interested to know the history and source of English Words. Most of the dictionaries contain one/two liners about the history and source of the words. There is an online Dictionary that gives detailed information. Try it

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Pen & Papers
Step1
Connect to Internet. Download ‘EZDictionary’ from www.EZDictionary.com or www.download.com or any Software Website. It is a Free Software.
Step2
Your computer must remain connected to the Internet, Double click Shortcut to open EZDictionary. Read the instructions.
Step3
Click down arrow (near Sound Icon) and select ‘Etymology’.
Step4
EZD Highlight the word which you want to look up. Click ‘Search in’ button. You will see the result after a second or two. If you want to listen pronunciation of the word, click ‘Sound Icon’ and wait for 3-4 seconds.

Tips & Warnings

  • This dictionary is very helpful. If you like it, tell your friends particularly students. They may need it.
  • Read Developer’s instructions.
