We all get way too much junk mail, with daily bombardings of credit card offers, ads from a local vet and coupons from pizza eateries. Put that junk mail to good use and recycle it by making Easter decorations; here's how.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper shredder
  • Plastic Easter eggs
  • All purpose glue
  • 1/8-inch ribbon
  • Acrylic paint
  • Brushes
  • Paper plate
  • Paper towels
  • Paper cup
  • Water
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Shred the junk mail in a paper shredder.

  2. Step 2

Thread the ends of your ribbon through the two holes in the Easter egg and tie the ends of the ribbon into knots. Close the egg.

  3. Step 3

Cut shredded strips of paper in half.

  4. Step 4

Apply glue to the plastic egg and strips of paper.

  5. Step 5

Allow completed egg to dry thoroughly.

  6. Step 6

Decorate the egg with acrylic paint.

Tips & Warnings
  • Glitter can be used in place of acrylic paint.
  • If plastic eggs don't have holes, use a low temperature glue gun to glue ends of ribbon into place.
  • This is a great rainy day project for kids.
