How to Get Your Girlfriend to Play Video Games with You

The video game audience clearly swings more toward the male side, but it isn't impossible to get girls to play along. When I was a kid, I used to play Super Mario Bros. on his Nintendo 64. I loved it. But as my brother and I grew apart, I really didn't have anyone to play video games with. So I didn't play much. And my family went through the consoles as they came out: PlayStation, Game Cube, PlayStation 2, Xbox... It wasn't until we got a Nintendo Wii that my attention turned back to video games. Nintendo Wii is the key to getting your girl to play.

• Nintendo Wii or $250
• At least 2 remotes
• Internet Connection

1. Give her a reason to play. Guys, if you are trying to get your girlfriend to play video games with you, get a Nintendo Wii. A lot of girls these days aren't interested in football or shoot-em-up games. They care about their physical appearance. A Wii is a great way to get quality exercise, as well as participate in a two (or more) person activity.
2. On the Wii, players can create Miis, which are personal characters to play as. There are infinite ways to make your Miis look, which is something girls are more into than guys. Plus, girls can create all their friends on the Mii and play as whoever they want.
3. Another thing about the Wii that would catch girls' attention is the photo channel. Girls can upload pictures of their friends and family off of a memory card. Once loaded, they can be edited, stored, and even shared with other players (an internet connection is required).
