      Immediately begin to blot up the stain with a damp sponge, working from the outside toward the inside so as not to spread the stain.

      Apply straight lemon juice to the stain and blot up with dry cloth.
      After the stain has begun to disappear somewhat, use a soft bristle brush to brush in more lemon juice.

      If lemon juice is not working try white vinegar.
      Keep repeating and blotting out the liquid until the stain is gone.
      Afterwards you can treat the spot with spray in carpet foam cleaner to lift out what remains.
