Kids love using the special effects contained in iMovie. Use this method to teach all the special effects and the kids will create the most amazing movies.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • iMovie
  1. Step 1

    Make sure the kids understand how to shoot and import video footage into iMovie.

  2. Step 2

    Introduce all the special effects and hand them assignments outlined in Steps 3 and 4 to shoot and add the effects to.

  3. Step 3

    Have the kids film themselves outside and add the rain, lightning, earthquake and fog effects. Their video footage should include themselves saying, "Boy, it looks like it's going to rain" and then they can add the rain effect to the clip and so on.

  4. Step 4

    Teach the kids about the sun glare and fairy dust effects and how they can use them to simulate magic.
