Practice speaking in front of a mirror to see what facial expressions look awkward to avoid them.

Stay well informed about your business industry. This will provide great conversation starters with colleagues. This can be done by subscribing to newsletters, or checking reputable blogs.

Keep about 3 ready to go outfits at all times that you can wear for a last minute party, or meeting. This will eliminate poorly planned attire mistakes at the workplace.

Always keep an elevator pitch in your mind, so when people as about your career, you will be ready. Carry a business card, even if, you have to make them yourself.
