Art. What is the first thing that you think of when you hear that word? Expensive! Yes, usually art is expensive. But if we think about the world and if we think about the things that we all like and dislike, we realize that to any one person, anything can be art. Coats and hats on a rack can be art. Being one of Brooklyn's Own Artists and Photographers in the past has taught me to really appreciate the everyday objects and scenes around me. And it has also taught me to continue to create my own art. For helpful hints on this subject, read past the "comment and email" box and get to the rest of this interesting and money-saving article.

Instructions

  • Magazine picturse
  • Decoupage pictures
  • Photographs from marketing boxes and other places

Step1
Weather Is Interesting Art; Take Any Picture Outdoors and Bring it Indoors. Art is whatever you believe is beautiful, moving, creative or anything that brings you good or deep thoughts, memories or feelings. Art moves people from one space to the next. You have lots of art around you and you can create some without much expense.

First step, gather whatever you have that looks like it might do the trick. This photograph is an ordinary weather scene but to anyone is is their first piece of original art. During nice weather or during mild storms, go out and take those pictures for the memories and for your walls.
Step2
Your Favorite Street and Scenes Right On Your Kitchen or Dining Room Wall. You can have ANY street that you like inside of your home. Go to the street, photograph the street sign or the scene near the street and frame the picture. Even further, take photos of the street signs and then photos of the landmarks nearby and you have a group collection of artistic images.
Step3
This Photograph of a Graduation Yearbook Makes a Great Wall Hanging. Remember the graduation, prom, wedding, birthdays? Whatever book-type rememberance that you have, photograph it and hang it on your wall. These make nice gifts for people also. I took this sign picture in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can use old magazine pictures and collage pictures for art for your walls.
  • You can use family pictures from reunions and or from vacations to line the hallways of your home.
  • Look and be more observant wherever you are. You will always find a piece of art that is worth taking a picture of. The art could be the ocean ,the sky and for those fortunate enough, even a rainbow.
  • Look at children's and teens' art projects. Some of them are extremely beautiful.
  • Most art students have to hand-copy a famous painting. See if you can purchase one of those paintings for yourself. Usually these are very beautiful.
  • Buy inexpensive frames at garage sales or new ones at Pearl Paints store in Manhattan or online.
  • Never photograph or copy other's art unless you have prior written permission. Work that is on the net is all copyrighted. Should you copy any of it without permission, you are committing a crime. Now that you are informed, check out the other photographs in these articles.
