Things You'll Need:
- Visa application fee
- Completed DS Forms
- Proofs of relationship between the petitioner & beneficiary
- Notarized Affidavit of Support from the Petitioner (I-131)
- Visa photos
-
Step 1
Make sure that you pay all the necessary fees for the visa application process as per instruction from the embassy.
-
Step 2
Gather all the required documents for the day of the interview. Compile and organize them neatly for easy reference and retrieval.
-
Step 3
Go shopping for the attire you will wear on that day. Shop for clothes that are appropriate for the occasion. Business attire is recommended.
-
Step 4
Get your family, friends, and US fiancé/fiancée involved. Their support, prayers, and encouragement will boost your confidence.
-
Step 5
On the night before the interview date, make sure that you have everything you will need for the big day. Eat a good dinner and go to bed early.
-
Step 6
Come to the embassy at least two hours before your scheduled interview. This will save you from the stress of hurrying up to be in line and getting a number. The earlier you come, the sooner you will be interviewed for the day.
-
Step 7
While waiting for your turn to be interviewed, calm your nerves and relax. Think about how wonderful your relationship with your US citizen fiancé/fiancée is. This will enable you to focus on the relationship which is what the interview is all about.
-
Step 8
Make your thoughts positive. Look forward to getting your visa approved at the end of your interview.
-
Step 9
When your turn comes, gather your documents, check your overall look and walk with confidence towards the interview room. Good luck!
