Step1

Once you downloaded and installed avg on to your system you are now ready to scan your computer for unwanted viruses

Step2

open the program which should be on your desktop or in your start menu tray, Once it is opened on the left hand corner at the top it should say program , test, results, service, information, I want you to go to program click that and launch avg free control centre

Step3

Another avg box should pop up , now you have options , scan computer, scan selected areas, check for updates, I would click scan selected areas , check mark the c:\ , and down below click scan selected areas, Now your on your way for searching for viruses and getting rid of them
