Things You'll Need:
- 1 ham steak-one pound serves 2-3 people
- 4 TBS ketchup
- 3 TBS mustard
- 3 TBS honey
- 3 TBS peanut oil
-
Step 1
Remove the ham steak from sealed wrapper and wash both sides with clean running water. Soak in cold water for at least 2 hours. This removes the extra salt. Rinse again and dry with a paper towel.
-
Step 2
For glaze, mix other ingredients with a rubber spatula rapidly until well blended.
-
Step 3
Cut or break ham into 3-4 pieces and coat well with glaze.
-
Step 4
Cook on hot grill 3-4 minutes for each side until glaze is toasty, browned, and interior of ham is hot. Enjoy!

on 7/1/2008 Hmm, I hadn't thought of using a glaze. We get the extra thick ham steaks at Hannafords in NH and just grill them. Soooo good. 5 stars.
