How to Make Glazed Grilled Ham Steak
If you usually think of ham only for holiday meals or in sandwiches, it's time to branch out. Ham steaks cook beautifully on the grill in just a few minutes. Grilled ham goes perfectly with potato salad, corn on the cob and other summer favorites. A 1-pound ham steak should be enough for 3 to 4 people. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Ham steak
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 tablespoons mustard
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons peanut oil

Rinse both sides of the ham steak under running water. Soak it in cold water at least 2 hours to remove excess salt. Rinse again and dry with a paper towel.

Stir the ketchup, mustard, honey and peanut oil until they are well blended.

Cut or break ham into 3 to 4 pieces and coat well with the glaze.

Grill over medium-high, direct heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until the glaze is toasty and browned and the interior is hot.
