If your child is under 12, chances are you’ve heard about the world of Webkinz. Webkinz is a virtual web world built around real-life stuffed animals. The stuffed toy is very similar to other stuffed animals except for one thing. Each has a secret code on their label that allows your child to have access to the Webkinz world. This emerging phenomenon encourages children and helps promote thinking through Webkinz tools and navigational system. Unlike many other virtual pets, they never die which promotes confidence!

What’s Webkinz World

Webkinz world is a website in which children own a virtual version of a pet for virtual interaction. Each pet can be purchased through most retailers or online. Be prepared to spend about $10-$25 dollars on one pet.

There are many different kinds of pets from your domestic dog and cat to wild animals, and finally your mythical creatures.

Play the game

Each Webkinz comes with a secrete code. Begin by registering your code on the Webkinz website. Make sure your child understands that they can not share their code to anyone. My child can’t keep too many secretes, so I chose the user Id and password. When he’s ready to play I access the program for him.
Step 4

Online

Once you’re online you’re ready to earn KinzCash by playing virtual games. One of my son’s favorite is the employment office. There, he can choose a job for the day such as sorting, matching, helping sick pets etc. If you complete the job you get paid, if not, you can try again the next day. The best part is they have to answer at least 50 questions in order to get a job. Don’t worry parents. Many of the games are based upon math, science, history, language etc which can be broken up by age. The more questions and activities they do the more KinzCash they will make.

What’s KinzCash?

KinzCash is virtual cash that allows the user to spend their cash at the W shop. There they can purchase food, clothing, furniture, more rooms, plants, etc for their pets. Keep note, that the online world contains rare exclusive items that can be purchased through the curio shop.

Buying exercise equipment and a bathtub will keep your pet healthy
Participating in daily activities and hourly events can earn you easy KinzCash, prizes, and coupons.
Keep your pet happy by brushing your pet’s teeth, and keeping him clean.
Put your pet to sleep when logging off.

Parent Control

As a parent of a Webkinz fan I must admit, I had some concerns about the websites chat system. Then KinzChat is designed so that children cannot type, but can choose phrases to say from a list. There they can interact with other Webkinz pet owners to play games, trade items, and have fun.
