How to Collect Clematis Seeds

Clematis is a showy shrub that grows in a variety of habitats. Collecting seeds from it is a great way to propagate the plant.

Things You'll Need:

• Clematis shrub
• Collection container

1. Identify those flowers with seedheads.

2. Allow the seedheads to fully dry on the plant, without picking it.

3. When the seedheads are dried, remove and collect the seeds.

Tips & Warnings

• For germinating the seeds, presoak them for 12 hours in a dish with warm water and to help remove the outer coat.
