How to Succeed in College

Rate: (1 Ratings)

I was my college's valedictorian, no joke. It wasn't easy, but I did the following three things to help me along the way. Being at the top of your class in college is not only about being smart academically, it's about being smart in other ways as well.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Common sense
Step1
ALWAYS GO TO CLASS.

Some students fail because they don't go to class. Other students don't do as well as they should. More matter what happens, not going to class is extremely detrimental.
Step2
ALWAYS TURN IN EVERY ASSIGNMENT; TAKE EVERY TEST.

If you blow off assignments, they will quickly add up. It is perhaps the single stupidest thing to do. Also, don't ever blow off a test.
Step3
ALWAYS TREAT EVERY ASSIGNMENT AND/OR TEST AS THE FINAL.

If you turn in substandard work throughout the semester, not only will you put unneeded pressure on yourself come the end of the semester, you will also slowly but surely see an A or a B slip out of your grasp. If you pretend that your 3 page philosophy paper is equal in importance to your Biology final, you will begin to see your grades become more manageable and satisfactory. This is perhaps the hardest thing you can do. It's all about the mindset.

Tips & Warnings

  • Good luck.
