How to Decorate for a Pimp and Ho Party

Looking to throw an outrageous Pimps and Hos themed party that your guests will be talking about for years? The internet has made finding a costume and attending one of these parties simple enough all year round. However, actually throwing and decorating for a Pimps and Hos party takes a little more creativity. This article will give you some great ideas for putting on one of these memorable soirées.

Things You’ll Need:

• Pimp or Ho costume
• Several yards of velvet, silk and/or animal print fabric
• Boxes of condoms, preferably colored
• Fake paper money
• Chocolate gold coins
• Adhesive nametags
• Disco Ball and spotlight
• Blacklights and/or strobe lights
• Sound system with dance music or DJ
• Pimp necklaces
• Tiny plastic baggies
• Invitations (paper or electronic)

1. Decide the location of your party. If you're going to rent out a facility, make sure you plan several months ahead of time to make sure they are available. Also plan ahead if you plan to hire a DJ for the party. If you don't want to hire a DJ, make sure you have plenty of dance music and a good sound system to keep the party going.
2. Make/buy invitations that fit your theme to send to guests by either mail or email. Send them out at least 2-3 weeks before the date of the event to ensure your guests have enough time to put together their outfit.
3. Pimp Purple Drape fabric, preferably silk, animal print or black/purple velvet, over couches, chairs and tables, or any other furniture you would like to "pimp out" instantly. You can also cover the walls with the fabric to darken the room and make it look really "pimp."
4. Condom Confetti Next, place colored condoms, chocolate gold coins and fake money (preferably $100 bills) on all the tables as decorations/favors.
5. Fill colored condoms with air or helium and place the balloons all around the room.
6. Disco Ball Hang the disco ball from the ceiling and set up the spotlight so that it shines directly on the ball. Also set up black lights and/or strobe lights around the room for a nightclub-esque atmosphere.
7. Pimp Necklace Hand out fake pimp necklaces and name tags with pimp and ho names on them to your guests as they arrive. Some examples of good names to use are: Pimp Daddy Slick, Cherry Love, Candy Lips, Double Dees, etc.
8. To keep the party exciting, have games planned for the guests to get involved in and enjoy. An example: have the pimps sit in chairs and choose a ho partner, give them a condom balloon (or regular balloon), and see who can pop theirs the fastest. The catch: the hos must pop the balloon by placing it in the pimp's lap and sitting on it.
9. When the party's over, tell the guests to get back out on the corner where they belong!

Tips & Warnings

• If you plan on setting up strobe lights for the party, make sure that none of your guests have epilepsy, as these lights could trigger an epileptic seizure.
