This simple trick will help you remember the difference between the homonyms "your" and "you're", so that you won't make the common mistake of confusing them.
Remember "you're" is a contraction, which is two words put together. "You" is combined with "are" to make "you're". The little ' takes the place of the missing a. In a sentence, it should still make sense if you replace "you're" with "you are".
