Step 1
Decide which type of accounting class you wish to take. There are several to choose from. You can take a general course, business accounting classes, auditing courses or tax information. These are only some of your options. Other material is available as well.
-
Step 2
Choose the method in which you want to take the class. This basically depends on the free time you want to devote to the course. If you have several hours a week, you may decide upon a traditional classroom setting directly from your computer. If you only have a couple of hours a week, your best bet may be a tutorial. This is where you can learn by yourself without time sensitive material.

Step 3
Decide how much money you wish to invest in an accounting course. Tutorials are usually free if you wanted to go that route. The more traditional courses could cost roughly $500 to $1000 dollars. Then there are the peer to peer support, which may cost in the lower end about $50 dollars.

Step 4
Locate the accounting courses online. You will need to use the information you chose in Steps 1 to 3. Then search online for the proper course for you. This could be a daunting task, but eventually you will find the right class for your needs.
