How to Play the FUBAR Drinking Game

The acronym FUBAR has been used in engineering, physics, literature, and film. The word is most commonly thought of as one of the most hardcore drinking games in existence. While drinking in excess can be damaging, knowing your limits can make drinking games an extremely fun activity for you and your friends. So make sure not to drink and drive, and enjoy getting FUBAR.

Things You'll Need

• 1 Deck of cards
• 3 or more friends
• Enough shot glasses for everyone in the game OR
• A beer for everyone in the game

Instructions

Play the FUBAR Drinking Game

1. Shuffle the deck of cards. If you have just opened a new pack of cards, you will need to shuffle the deck for a minute or so. Brand new decks usually come with the cards in ascending order.

2. Spread the cards out face down in the middle of the table. They should be spread out over a decent sized area so each player can choose exactly which card they want.

3. Make sure everyone has a beer or shot in front of them for when they have to drink. Decide who is going first and in which order you'll be going. The first player picks a card from anywhere on the table and reveals it to the other players.

4. Learn what all of the cards mean. The rules are as follows. If the player draws an Ace, Two, or Three, they must take that many drinks. Ace= One drink. Two= Two drinks. Three= Three drinks.

5. If you draw a Four then the questions game begins. You look at another player and ask them a question. They must answer your question with a question. This continues going on until someone messes up. Whoever messes up has to drink. Give out five drinks to one player or split them amongst several players if you draw a Five.

6. Play "I Never" if you draw a Six. You say aloud something that you have never done. Anyone at the table who has done what you said you haven't done must take a drink. Play "Thumbmaster" if you draw a Seven. Whoever draws the Seven can choose any time to place their thumb on the table. The last player to place their thumb on the table after the Thumbmaster has to drink. The Thumbmaster retains this power until the next Seven is drawn.

7. Play "Categories" if you draw an Eight. Choose any type of category. The next person must name a type of something that is in that category. This goes on until someone messes up and has to drink. For instance, if you choose the category "shoes", then the next few people can say Nike, Adidas, Fila, etc. Play "Rhyme" if you draw Nine. You say a word, and all other players must go around saying words that rhyme with yours. Whoever messes up drinks. If you draw a 10 then everyone in the game takes a drink.

8. Draw a Jack and all of the guys have to drink. Draw a Queen and all of the girls have to drink. Play "Waterfall" if you draw a King. Once you draw a King, everyone starts drinking. The person who goes after you cannot stop drinking until you do. The person after him cannot stop drinking until he does, and so on. Strategize on the best way to win and you can be the FUBAR champ.

Tips & Warnings

• Beer works better for cards such the King is drawn.

• Liquor will get the game over quicker.

• Do not drink irresponsibly. Trying to be a showoff with alcohol and be hazardous to your health.
