How to Make an Infant Hair Bow

Making hair bows for your baby girl is easy. You can create any kind of bow that you like and design it so that it will stay attached to your baby's head.

Things You'll Need

• Ribbon
• Velcro
• String
• Needle
• Crafting or hot glue

Instructions

1. Cut the piece of ribbon to about 12 inches in length. The ribbon should be about one inch wide for infant bows. The 12 inches of ribbon will make bows that are 2 inches in size. After you get the hang of this, you can use different lengths of ribbon to create different sized bows.

2. Tie the piece of ribbon as you would tie the laces of your shoes to make a small bow.

3. Cut the Velcro so that it is about one inch long.

4. Sew one side of the Velcro together. This will be the "clip" for the bow.

5. Glue or sew the bow onto the piece of Velcro. Hot glue or crafting glue will probably hold best.

6. Buying clips at a craft store can be another option instead of Velcro. You can still tie a piece of ribbon together and glue it onto the clip. Barrettes or elastic holders can also be bought at craft stores and used for children that are a bit older.

7. Use different colored ribbons to make a bow in colors that match an outfit perfectly. Consider using lace with ribbon to make the bow fancier.
