A swimming pool filter is a necessary item for keeping your above-ground pool clean and healthy. This article will walk you through the setup of the filter, even it you have just purchased your first pool.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Filter
  • Flex tubing
  • Above-ground swimming pool
  1. Step 1

Open the package and lay the contents on your pool deck or the ground. Determine which tube goes where on the filter.

  2. Step 2

Connect one end of the flex tubing to the intake valve on the air filter, and the other end to the hole on the side of the pool (which is higher). This hole is where the water exits the pool and flows into the filter to be cleaned. There is no covering on this hole, as it is a water-inflow hole.

  3. Step 3

Connect one end of the flex tubing to the outtake valve on the air filter, and the other end to the hole on the side of the pool (which is lower). This is the hole where the water exits the filter into the tube on its way back to the pool. There is a covering on this hole, as it is water-outflow hole.

  4. Step 4

Prime your filter: Take off the top knob until the filter begins to fill with the water. Replace the top knob and allow the filter to run normally.
