Or maybe there are curtains but they, too, have lived in the woods as long as the trees. What can you do to keep some privacy away from the bears? Instructions

    • 1

Find a cotton sheet to use. If you can find something a little thicker, that is fine, too. You just don't want to go too shear or else the air from the shower will blow your curtain up, thus defeating the purpose to create privacy.

    • 2

Fold over the top edge of the sheet evenly at least 1 1/2 inches across. If you plan to use a curtain rod, make the fold four inches across. You can use a stapler every few inches to hold the fold evenly across.

    • 3

Sew the fold horizontally with a needle and thick thread. Sew close to the edge of the fold. When you are done you should have an even seam all the way across and a loop of fabric on the top of the sheet.

    • 4

Draw an even horizontal line between the top edge of the curtain and the fold. Be sure to keep the line even. Use the yard stick as a guide.

    • 5

Punch holes five inches apart on the horizontal line. If you must, punch two holes together vertically to ensure they will accommodate your shower curtain rings. Insert rings and then hang on the curtain rod.

Tips & Warnings

  • For an extra-efficient shower curtain, use liquid water resistant sealant on one side of the shower curtain. Mark that side and make sure it faces inward when placing the curtain.
