Step2
Decide on colors or a theme for your arrangement. Keep in mind that floral arrangements are about more than just the flowers. It's the overall package. You may include candles, stuffed animals, greenery, and other accent pieces in the flower arrangement as well but you need to have a general theme. It also helps from a visual aspect to chose a color scheme that is complementary.
Step3
Gather the tools, supplies, flowers, and accents that you will be using in your floral arrangement and have them handy. This saves time, increases productivity, and will give you a head's up in advance if you need to purchase or locate other items before beginning.
Step4
Arrange silk florals in a vase, bowl, or bunch according to the finished product you are creating.
Step5
Use florist foam and wire to hold the shape of the arrangement and to polish the look. You may want to study a few other arrangements before beginning (florist websites are an excellent source of inspiration and guidance).
Step6
Check for visual cues. It is a good idea to have taller items in or near the center and work out with progressively shorter pieces but you are free to arrange silk florals however you are inspired when creating your own masterpiece.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are making a centerpiece, you will want to make sure you inspect the item from every angle before you sign off on it. People can view these arrangements from all sides and you want to avoid gaps, holes, or wires showing through.
