It's time for a trip, and along with everything else you have to remember to pack a toiletry bag that will get you through your outing. While what you pack can depend on where you are going and the length of your trip, there are some ways to simplify packing your toiletry bag. Read on to learn how to pack a man's toiletry bag.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A toiletry bag
  • Notepad or piece of paper
  • Toiletries
  • Ziploc gaggies
  1. Step 1

Tape a piece of paper to your bathroom mirror or medicine cabinet at least a week prior to your trip, if possible. Keep a running list of everything you use in the bathroom during that time. This will help you decide what items are must-haves for your toiletry bag. Some standard items include toothbrush, deodorant and shaving supplies such as razors, shaving cream and aftershave.

  2. Step 2

Think about where you will be on your trip and add or remove items to and from your list accordingly. For example, if you are going on a camping trip you might not need your razor after all.

  3. Step 3

Consider what items on your list will be available at the location where you will be staying. For example, many hotels provide you with shampoo, conditioner and soap. Don't bother packing these items, unless you strongly prefer the brands you own.

  4. Step 4

Pack any liquids or creams inside of a Ziploc sandwich bag, to avert any possible spills or explosions. Consider purchasing travel-size packages of the items you will need if you are not going on an extended trip, as they are more simple to pack and less likely to spill due to the type of packaging.

  5. Step 5

Include a few "just in case" items in your toiletry bag. These might include a small sewing kit, a Swiss Army knife with tweezers and nail clippers and scissors built right in, and a stain removal stick or pen. You might also through in some tissues or a package of wet wipes if you have room.
