Things You'll Need:
- Soda
- Milk
- Antacid
-
Step 1
If you are suffering from chest pains after eating then try to make yourself burp. Drinking a little soda will help to cause you to burp and should relieve the pressure that is built up in your chest.
-
Step 2
If burping does not help, then drink a small glass of milk. Milk will help to coat your throat and may relieve the pressure in your chest.
-
Step 3
You can also take an antacid. This will decrease the pressure by helping to stabilize the acid and “bubbles” that are causing the uncomfortable pressure.
-
Step 4
If you find that you have this pressure in your chest that causes you pain regularly you should see your doctor. He will be able to prescribe or suggest a daily antacid that will help to decrease the problem.

on 10/30/2009 If you're suffering from continual acid indigestion with no relief, try drinking about a cup of water mixed with a teaspoon baking soda. This helps neutralize the acid. You can expect some heavy burping withing a short bit, and diarrhea likely within the day. This is not something you should do on a frequent basis, as this can cause an imbalance in your body's ph balance. But it can help during a bout of discomfort of which you might find no other method of relief.
