How to Block Your Cell Phone Number For One Call

This guide details how you can block your number on a call by call basis.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

If you don't want the person you are calling to know who you are, it is as simple as dialing *67 before the number you wish to call. It's that easy. An example number would be *67-482-332-6678. All cell phones support this feature, and I believe all landlines as well.

  2. Step 2

Test this process by calling a friends phone that you trust. Ask them if they could see your number as you called. Test it a few times to make sure you're doing it right.

  3. Step 3

It is important to remember that your number will not be blocked from toll free numbers or emergency services, so I would suggest to not try any prank calls!
