Instructions

    • 1

Set a time and day to serve breakfast in bed. If it's for a special occasion, you already have the day; you just need to know what time the person will be waking up.

    • 2

Encourage the recipient to linger in bed for awhile. Most people need at least a few minutes to fully wake up before they're ready to eat.

    • 3

Cook the eggs, toast, meat and potatoes, and make fresh coffee.

    • 4

Place a flower in a vase and set it on the breakfast tray. Also put out butter, jelly, napkins and a glass of juice.

    • 5

If this is a special occasion, hide some personal coupons on the tray that entitle the bearer to a candlelight bubble bath or personal massage. Placing little love notes under the coffee cup or plate is also a nice surprise for your loved one.

    • 6

When the food is done, place it on the tray and give the arrangement a final once-over to make sure the recipient will have everything she needs, such as sugar, salt and pepper.

    • 7

Carry the tray to the bedroom and set it gently in front of your loved one. Give him a kiss and tell him to take his time and enjoy it.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can substitute the egg breakfast for cereal with toast or pancakes.

  • Bring a newspaper or a favorite magazine for your loved one to look at while she eats.
