How to Exercise a Tight Hamstring
Tight hamstrings can be caused by many factors from accidents to lack of exercise. Most people feel tightness in their legs that can be relieved through hamstring exercises. Below you will find one of the most common exercises for relieving hamstring tightness.

Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you.

Inhale and raise your arms straight out in front of you.

Exhale and reach forward by bending at the waist until your knees start to rise.

Hold this position for 10 seconds.

Relax. Repeat 10 times.

Tips & Warnings
Warm up and cool down before running. This promotes blood flow and reduces lactic acid buildup, which makes you sore.
Don’t overstretch as this can cause muscle damage. You should go until you feel a tight stretch then stop. Progress a little farther each day.
