Boil a pot of water.

Add a few drops of an essential oil of your choice to the water just for a pleasant scent. You can skip this step if you like.

Place the hot pot on a trivet on the kitchen table.

Drape a bath towel over your head and sit at the table with your face a few inches form the pot, directly over the steam. The towel will help direct the steam toward your face. Your skin will immediately feel, flushed, warm and moist.

Remove your face after a few minutes, once the pot has stopped steaming.

Immediately wash your face. The steam has loosened dirt and impurities and now is a great time to wash it away with a gentle cleanser.

Repeat the process once a week.

If the steam is uncomfortable or painful, immediately remove your face from the steam and rinse it with cold water.
