Check after each use to ensure that your blower is free of cracks. If you see any cracks in the plastic covering, use a bit of epoxy to seal them shut and keep them from spreading.

Clean the unit with a damp cloth after the engine has cooled after each use.

Check the spark plug. Once per month, remove the spark plug from the unit, and ensure that the electrode gap is free of debris. This will ensure a clean firing, and prevents power loss.

At the start of each season, you should clean the air filter, and replace the spark plug.

Before storing your unit for the winter, you should flush the gas tank with clean fuel. After the tank is flushed, empty it and dispose of the fuel or, better yet, put it in your snowblower.

Tips & Warnings
If you see any buildup on your spark plug, you should replace it immediately. Always keep the air filter clean and ensure that your fuel lines are free of clogs.
Never try to clean your blower while it's hot. The engine parts can be nearly red hot, and can cause severe burns.
