Applying makeup to the face with fingers can help make it look more natural, as well as fresh. There are many different multi-purpose cosmetics that can be applied on the go, or for touch ups throughout the day. Staying as natural as possible is the best approach since heavy made up looks are not at all fashionable, especially during the day or warm weather.
Apply Concealer
Prep the face by applying concealer to any dark circles under the eyes, or any blemishes. Dab concealer lightly onto the skin, and blend with the ring finger from the outside corner inward. Blending in this direction will prevent any pulling on the delicate skin, reducing the amount of stretching. Allow the concealer to dry before putting on foundation.
Foundation application
Pour a small amount of foundation onto the hand, and proceed to dot the face with foundation applied by the finger. Be sure to dot the nose, cheeks, chin and forehead, and blend in using two fingertips. To make the foundation light, wet the two application fingers slightly with water for better blending and coverage. Blend the foundation from the middle of the face outward, being sure to avoid getting too much in the hairline.
Cream blush sticks
Apply blush if needed once the foundation is well blended, by dotting blush cream on the apples of the cheeks towards the temple. Blend with the fingertips until it is only slightly noticeable.
Cream eyeshadows
Add shimmer to the eyes using a shimmer cream. These eye creams can come in a variety of styles, such as tubes or pots, which can make it easy to put in a purse and re-touch throughout the day. There are many cosmetics that also use a trio set that has makeup for the eyes, cheeks and lips that can be convenient to use at work or if you just want to a minimum of makeup. To add shimmer to the eyes, use the ring finger to apply and blend the shadow cream into the eyelid.
